I hope this Spring edition of the SoAP Box finds you healthy and safe. Below are some of the latest updates we have available from APA regarding the 2021 APA Convention that will either be held entirely virtually or as a hybrid with some live components held in San Diego, CA. So far, we still have limited information to share but APA has reported they will officially announce in April whether there will be any in-person component to the 2021 convention or if it will be entirely virtual.
If the convention will have an in-person component, please look for updates on the Division 50 listserv regarding any Division 50-specific events, which may include social hours. I would love to see you all either virtually and/or in-person once it is safe to do so!
Regarding Travel Awards we have traditionally offered: If the convention is in-person, those awards may be used for travel costs; if the convention is virtual, those awards may be used for purchasing video equipment to facilitate virtual convention attendance (e.g., a microphone headset).
