To create a resource gateway focused on addictions and evidence-based practice (EBP), we seek to collect information that describes ongoing efforts to identify, discuss, evaluate, adapt, guide practice, or otherwise utilize information related to EBPs in addictions. The purpose of the gateway will not be to evaluate or promote any person, program, approach, or theory. Instead, it will facilitate information and resource sharing, as well as promote discussion on EBPs. We intend the gateway to become a synthesizing tool bringing together diverse resources for practitioners and others to find, discuss, use, and develop.
Invitation to Submit Information for Consideration
We announce an open call for EBP information related to addictions. Periodically, as new foci develop in the field, we intend to call for information in specialized areas of addictions treatment. In this regard, based on collaboration between APA Divisions 50 and 56 (Trauma Psychology), we now also seek information related to combined treatment of addictions and trauma. Information requested may include guidelines, policy and regulations, citations, bibliographic entries, website information, listservs, organizations, materials you are willing to share digitally, announcements of meetings, conferences, calls for action by states or organizations, or other activities that are related to EBPs in addictions.
