Tenure-track position in Clinical Psychology

The Psychology Department at Trinity College (CT) is hiring a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology. Please share the ad below with anyone who might be interested.

The Psychology Department at Trinity College seeks to fill a tenure-track position in Clinical Psychology, beginning in July 2024. Successful candidates will have teaching and research interests that center the mental health needs of, and challenges facing, vulnerable and/or historically underrepresented groups in the U.S. The candidate’s teaching portfolio will include core courses in clinical/psychopathology, advanced courses in the person’s specialization, topically focused courses, and Introduction to Psychological Science. Applicants should have a Ph.D. (or Ph.D. expected) by September 1, 2024, in Clinical Psychology.

Trinity College is a co-educational, independent, nonsectarian liberal arts college with approximately 2,300 undergraduate students and 220 faculty, and a 9:1 student: faculty ratio located in Connecticut’s capital city of Hartford. Trinity has several programs (e.g., Community Learning Initiative, Liberal Arts Action Lab), as part of the Center for Hartford Engagement & Research (CHER) that promotes community engagement and collaboration, as well as relationships with surrounding health organizations such as Hartford Hospital, the Institute of Living, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, The Hispanic Health Council, and University of Connecticut Medical School. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a program of excellent empirical research and engage bright, motivated, and diverse psychology undergraduates in that research.

Applicants will be asked to list contact information for reference providers, including email addresses. Once a completed dossier is submitted, automatic emails will be generated to each reference provider, directing each referee to a unique URL where he or she must go to upload a letter of recommendation.
