Call for Poster Abstracts
October 8-9, 2020
Virtual Conference
The 8th Annual VCBH Conference will focus on Rural Health and Addiction. We are bringing together renowned researchers in intersectional fields that include infectious disease, addiction, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. We are pleased to announce our call for poster abstracts focused on research related to rural addiction and health. This includes research that addresses health related behaviors by rurality or a healthrelated behavior or outcome that is over-represented in rural areas. Abstracts will be evaluated on the basis of scientific merit. Please send submissions (including title, authors, affiliations, and 250-word abstract) to Diann Gaalema, PhD at diann.gaalema@med.uvm.edu by August 28. This year's keynote speaker is Steven Woolf, MD, MPH, Professor of Family Medicine and Population Health at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and Healthy Equity Director Emeritus and Senior Advisor at the VCU Center on Society and Health. Dr. Woolf's areas of expertise include health services research, health promotion and disease prevention, and social justice and health disparities.
