The Director will work to position Hazelden as the world’s leading authority on addiction treatment by continuously advancing the organization’s clinical and institutional research capacity. This leader will drive the use of institutional and clinical research data throughout Hazelden’s healthcare operations, providing a research base of knowledge necessary to inform clinical practice and education. Effectively stewarding human, physical, and financial resources to strengthen capacity and provide a foundation for fulfillment of strategic priorities while creating and implementing annual operating budgets to meet key financial goals and targets is also under the purview of this position.
Successful candidates will possess a doctoral degree in psychology or related field completed within a scientist or scientist-practitioner program and have completed doctoral-level coursework in research design, methodology, and advanced statistics. Minimum of three years of full-time addictions treatment research activity within an addictions research center is required. Prior supervision and leadership experience is also required.
