Dear Division 50 student and post-baccalaureate affiliate members, The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee of the Society for Addiction Psychology has created a recognition award, the "Distinguished Student Scholar Recognition Award on Research, Equity, and Social Justice", to be provided to a current Division 50 graduate student or post-baccalaureate affiliate member. The winner will be announced at the 2024 APA convention in August along with other awardees that will be recognized for their scholarship. Student must be attending APA to be eligible for this award. This award recognizes graduate student members and/or post-baccalaureate affiliates of the Society of Addiction Psychology who have made outstanding scholarly contributions to equity and social justice in the field of addiction psychology. One awardee will be selected per year. The awardee will be publicly recognized at the APA annual convention, receive a certificate for their achievement, and an honorarium in the amount of $250.
