The Division 50 Education and Training Committee is currently looking for two new student members to serve a 2-year term. The term will begin immediately and requires a two-year commitment. Students may be post-baccalaureate status or in an MS or PhD program and must be a current member of Division 50. Please see below for a description of the position:
The committee evaluates all CE programs that come in for sponsorship by the Division and works to ensure we follow APA policies so that we can continue to sponsor CE sessions. Most of the submissions are related to APA convention and the Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction conference; however, we may also receive some submissions for home study CE programs. The workload is sometimes very light and there are a couple of times of year where we get a larger number of CEs to review. During those times, a student might spend 2-4 hours that month reviewing CEs. In addition to our focus on reviewing CE programs, we have been working on developing and maintaining databases on pre-doctoral internship programs that offer training in addiction psychology(https://
To apply for this great leadership opportunity, please submit: 1) A paragraph detailing your qualifications and interest in the position and 2) A current CV.
Please submit application materials to me (Chair of the committee) at jlmartin@albany.edu by Sunday, 9/27/20.
Thank you very much!
Jessica
